The ASG was started by a few interested expatriates in January 1998 to enhance the knowledge of the social and cultural context of their new home. The ASG offers a forum for members of both the local and foreign community for acquiring knowledge about the culture, customs, environ-ment and history of Pakistan and Asia in general.
